Tom Heller Wins Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year
TwinWest Chamber of Commerce recognizes
how he “weathered economic storms”
Minneapolis, Minn. – Soulo Communications is thrilled to announce that president and founder Tom Heller has won the Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year award from the TwinWest Chamber of Commerce. The award notes Heller’s drive, risk-taking, business acumen, vision, and sense of adventure as he led Soulo Communications through a difficult economic environment over the past two years.
The TwinWest Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year award is presented annually to a chamber member who has established a company with under $100 million in annual revenue, is less than five years old but more than one year old and displays excellent growth potential.
In his acceptance remarks, Heller thanked his wife and his staff, noting “I wouldn’t have accomplished any of this without a great wife supporting me. Like many of the people in this room, I know that without my spouse, there’s no way I’d be here right now.”
The TwinWest chamber represents over 1000 business members on the western side of the Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan area, a region including the cities of Brooklyn Center, Brooklyn Park, Crystal, Golden Valley, Hopkins, Medicine Lake, Minnetonka, New Hope, Plymouth and St. Louis Park.
The Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year award contenders are nominated and judged by chamber task forces in an extensive application process that includes business plans, financial information and an in-person interview of the finalists.
“This is a tremendous honor,” said Heller. “It recognizes the soul and commitment we put into every job, and is a testament to the skill of our team.”
